The aim of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of using an interactive reading in developing critical reading skills among first stage secondary students. The sample of the study was thirty eight. The tools of the study were pre and post critical reading skills test and a critical reading skills checklist. The researcher designed two groups: experimental and control. Before using an interactive reading, the pre-test was administered to the two groups. The post-test was administered after using an interactive reading. Results were analyzed and showed that the effectiveness of using an interactive reading in developing critical reading skills among first stage secondary students.
