The study aimed to: Identify the professional competencies required for university faculty members in the curriculum and methods of teaching Islamic education in the light of the executive framework to renew teacher preparation programs in Saudi universities, the researcher used the descriptive method, and the sample consisted of (83) faculty members in Saudi universities and used a tool From (7) areas of competencies: "General professional competencies, human competencies, executive teaching competencies, planning and design competencies, orthodontic competencies, technological competencies, professional development competencies" designed by the researcher, the results of the study showed that : Responses of the research sample The relative weight on the areas of general competencies, human competencies, executive teaching competencies, professional development competencies, evaluation competencies, adequate planning and design at a very high level as important competencies contribute to the development of faculty performance Education, technological competencies came at the last level with a high level.
